๐Ÿ“š

Renovating classrooms, sickbays, and learning infrastructure in public schools across Nigeria.

Empowerment

Supporting widows, orphans, and youth with resources, programs, and pathways to stability.

Building healthier, more sustainable community spaces for generations to come.

A foundation built on practical impact.

NBO Foundation is a Nigerian philanthropic organisation operating through a hybrid model โ€” directly funding initiatives and partnering with institutions and community groups to extend our reach.

We work where the need is most visible: schools with crumbling facilities, clinics without basic infrastructure, and communities that have long waited for meaningful investment.

Every project is designed for real-world Nigerian conditions โ€” practical, cost-conscious, and built to last.

Named for purpose. Built for people.

NBO Foundation carries the initials of its founders โ€” Norbert and Bunmi Oleah โ€” as a daily reminder that this work is personal.

The Foundation was established out of a deeply held conviction: that meaningful philanthropy does not require scale to start โ€” it requires honesty about where the need is greatest and the courage to act on it.

Nigeria's public infrastructure deficit โ€” in classrooms, clinics, and community spaces โ€” is not invisible. It is seen every day by the children who learn in crumbling rooms, the pupils who must leave school premises for a minor headache, and the communities that have waited years for investment that never came.

NBO Foundation was built to close that gap, one targeted, documented, community-driven project at a time. Operating from Lagos State and committed to growing its footprint nationally, the Foundation partners with institutions, community groups, and responsible businesses to fund and implement interventions that are practical, visible, and built to last.

Honesty

We pursue work where genuine need exists โ€” not where optics are most convenient.

Practicality

Every project is designed for real Nigerian conditions โ€” budgets, timelines, and materials grounded in reality.

Accountability

All completed work is photographically documented and formally reported โ€” impact you can see.

Partnership

The best outcomes come through collaboration โ€” with institutions, communities, and businesses that share our values.

Change made together.

NBO Foundation works alongside institutions, community organisations, and responsible businesses to extend our reach and deepen our impact.

Philanthropy works best as a collective effort. NBO Foundation does not operate in isolation โ€” we seek out partners who share our commitment to visible, practical community transformation.

Our partnership model is built around two distinct tracks: corporate and institutional partners who provide monetary funding, and SME and community partners who contribute in-kind โ€” products, services, and on-the-ground presence.

Whether you represent a government body, a corporation, a civic organisation, or a small business โ€” there is a meaningful role for you in the work we do.

๐Ÿข

Corporate Partners

Corporations and larger institutions provide monetary support that funds NBO's direct project implementation and community programmes.

๐Ÿ“ฆ

In-Kind Partners

SMEs and local businesses contribute equipment, materials, and services that power our projects on the ground โ€” turning support into tangible outcomes.

๐Ÿค

Collaborative Partners

Civic organisations, clubs, and community groups co-design and co-deliver projects alongside NBO โ€” extending our reach into communities we serve.

Featured Partnership

NBO Foundation ร— Rotary Club of Lekki Golden

Our inaugural project was made possible through a collaboration with the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden, under the leadership of President Dr. Christiana Okenla. Together, we identified a critical gap in student welfare at Badore Community Primary School and delivered a fully equipped sick bay โ€” from assessment to commissioning โ€” in under two months.

Badore Community Primary School
Sick Bay Project

A collaboration between NBO Foundation and the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden โ€” converting an unused office into the school's first-ever fully equipped sick bay.

Background

In October 2025, discussions began between NBO Foundation and the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden โ€” under the leadership of President Dr. Christiana Okenla โ€” regarding potential school renovation projects in Lagos State.

Two initiatives were initially proposed: a cafeteria renovation at a primary school in Ikoyi, and a classroom refurbishment at Badore Community Primary School. When a November 2025 inspection revealed that the Ikoyi cafeteria had already been completed by local government authorities, the focus shifted entirely to Badore.

Assessment & Redirection

During a November 2025 visit to Badore Community Primary School, Dr. Okenla and NBO Foundation representatives met with the head teacher to assess the school's needs. While classroom deterioration was evident, a more urgent concern emerged: the school had no sick bay or designated medical space whatsoever.

Pupils experiencing illness or injury โ€” even minor ones โ€” had to be transported off-premises to a nearby clinic. In serious cases, such delays can worsen medical outcomes significantly.

70%+

of public schools in Nigeria lack functional sick bays or basic medical facilities โ€” a national gap NBO Foundation is committed to addressing.

Following these findings, the project scope was formally redirected. During the week of January 19, 2026, the Badore Community Primary School Sick Bay Project was officially approved. An unused office adjacent to the head teacher's office was identified as the ideal space for conversion.

Vendor Selection & Procurement

Following multiple consultations and vendor evaluations โ€” prioritising service quality and cost efficiency โ€” Lifeline Global Concepts was awarded the contract to supply and install all required items. The agreed equipment list was finalised and a conceptual layout for the finished space was developed prior to installation.

Completion & Commissioning

On Friday, March 6, 2026, all medical and support equipment was delivered, installed, and arranged. The formerly unused office space was fully transformed โ€” painted, furnished, and equipped โ€” into a functional sick bay.

The facility provides pupils with a safe and private area to receive immediate care for illness or minor injuries while awaiting further medical attention if required. An official commissioning ceremony with the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden formally marked the handover of the facility to the school.
